Biography

Attorney Wetzel is a litigation associate in the Milwaukee Office of Cross Law Firm, S.C. Attorney Wetzel's practice is laser-focused on helping individual employees whose rights have been violated. He represents clients from all walks of life through litigation, mediations, hearings, negotiations, trials and all legal matters in between. He is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality, and down-to-earth legal advice in service of his clients' goals.

Attorney Wetzel knows that litigation, while sometimes necessary, is a last resort and he regularly represents clients in matters where litigation is a possible outcome, but not necessarily the best one. To this point, he regularly counsels clients through pre-litigation disputes including severance negotiations, contractual negotiations, and mediations. Attorney Wetzel is committed to providing high-quality, cost-effective legal guidance to his clients; no matter their financial situation or background. He strongly believes that every employee deserves a zealous advocate.

Attorney Wetzel joined Cross Law Firm, S.C. in 2016 after graduating from Wisconsin Law School. Attorney Wetzel is a proud "Double Badger", having also attended the University of Wisconsin where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with an emphasis in Mathematics.

Prior to attending law school, Attorney Wetzel worked a variety of jobs ranging from barista, to working at a pizza joint, to painting houses. His work experience gives him extra insight into the issues faced by low-wage workers. During law school he gained experience interning for Outagamie County Circuit Court Judges, as well as working for the State of Wisconsin Department of Revenue in the Office of General Counsel. These experiences sharpened his legal skills and broadened his understanding of how the law in Wisconsin actually functions. To this day, he draws on these experiences when serving clients.

Attorney Wetzel is a member of the Wisconsin Employment Lawyers Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association, and the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association.

In his free time, Attorney Wetzel enjoys cooking, spending time outside, trying new restaurants, and playing tennis.
