Biography

Attorney William Rauschenberg has a passion for labor and employment law.

He assists employees and Unions in organizing campaigns and related NLRB charges; representing Unions in contract negotiations, arbitration, mediation, and bylaw matters. He represents employees in matters involving the rights of whistleblowers against retaliation related to opposition involving wages, hours, and working conditions as well as health and safety complaints and attempts to stop fraud and other wrongdoing.

William is an advocate for employees being subjected to disciplinary process. This includes physicians and other health professionals, education professionals, and others accused of wrongdoing.

Attorney Rauschenberg is a member of Cross Law Firm’s Compensation Group to fight wage theft, and assure executives, physicians, partners, and other employees obtain their contractual benefits including vesting shares, phantom stock, PTO, etc. on both an individual and class action basis.

He also assists employers to work out alleged overtime and misclassification violations and to prepare proper policies to avoid problems going forward.

William earned his Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Labor and Employment from the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school he externed with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) where he was responsible for investigating, analyzing, and drafting recommendations related to unfair labor practice cases. Cases included unlawful firings and retaliation against whistleblowing and organizing His responsibilities also included taking investigative affidavits, claims intake, and supporting ongoing litigation.

Attorney Rauschenberg initially worked as a Claims Attorney for Epiq Global Systems, assisting in the administration of class action settlement agreements, ensuring that victims of malfeasance received compensation, and working within the class action litigation complexity.

During that period, he also volunteered with Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio, representing clients in the unemployment benefits adjudication process to ensure that employees terminated receive the compensation they deserve despite opposition from employers.

As a law student, William served as a Managing Editor for the Minnesota Journal of Law & Inequality. He also externed at the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General’s Conviction Review Unit, where he conducted legal research, analyzed trial records, and investigated claims to ensure wrongful convictions were identified and corrected.

William grew up in Central Ohio, developing an appreciation for history and culture. As an undergraduate, he attended The Ohio State University and graduated from the John Glenn School of Public Policy.
